✨ TWISTED SISTER NOTE
Sometimes the best finds are hiding in plain sight. This beautifully preserved piece of Wheaton history traveled from Germany to Illinois more than a century ago—and somehow survived long enough to land in the Twisted Sister Shoppe.
Exceptional antique Wheelock souvenir porcelain serving tray depicting Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois, dating to the early 20th century, likely circa 1900–1914.
The tray features a colorful architectural view of Wheaton College surrounded by a rich cobalt-blue ground, pink roses, elaborate gilt decoration, and ornate pierced handles. The combination of cobalt, floral decoration and gilding is characteristic of elaborate German souvenir china produced for the American market during this period.
The reverse carries an especially desirable custom merchant mark:
