Up for sale is a magnificent, matching pair of early 20th-century German Jugendstil / Vienna Secessionist vases by the renowned maker WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik), dating to circa 1905–1915.
DESIGN & DETAILS:
Style: Classic German Secessionist / Arts & Crafts period. Features a tapered geometric profile with a striking contrast between the hand-hammered lower body and smooth upper shoulder.
Motif: The upper collar is adorned with four crisp, raised relief medallions featuring stylized fruit, berry, and floral motifs set within circular roundels.
Material: Mixed brass and copper metalwork with a rich, rich aged patina.
Markings: Stamped on the underside with the official WMF mark and the stamp "92".
Height: Approximately 10 inches tall and 6 inches at widest point.
Excellent antique condition given age and material.
Displays a beautiful natural patina throughout. Light surface wear, faint oxidation, and minor marks and/or scratches consistent with normal age and gentle handling over the last century. No major structural dents seen. But there are a few minor, light dings.
Packed carefully, wrapped individually, and shipped and handled with care through shipping.
