Up for sale is a beautifully preserved, highly collectible Tom Thumb Improved Single-Burner Lamp Stove manufactured by the renowned Adams & Westlake Manufacturing Company. Dating back to the late 1880s to early 1890s, this compact kerosene appliance was engineered to heat heavy laundry flat irons (sad irons) or support small-scale camp cooking.

This specific unit features the highly distinct four deeply cast circular rosettes across the top deck of the fuel reservoir and has a factory size \"B\" foundry stamp on the bottom of the heavy base.

• 100% Complete Mechanical Parts: Features the original threaded brass filler cap with built-in safety venting holes and the long-reach brass wick wheel along with the original wick.

• Stamped Patent Dates: The brass thumbwheel is cleanly stamped with its original historical tracking information: \"PAT\'D SEPT 3RD 1878\" and \"REISSUED AUG 19 79\".

• Intact Mica Window: The highly fragile, translucent mineral viewing pane (isinglass) on the front chimney housing is completely intact with no missing sheets.

• Solid Iron Construction: The lower reservoir and top open-web cooking grate are heavy cast iron; the tapered central draft chimney is stamped sheet iron. The castings are free of cracks, splits, or structural welds.

• Smooth Operation: The rear pivot hinge is solid, the front spring-loaded brass locking latch clips tightly into place, and the internal wick-turner wheels turn smoothly.
