DESCRIPTION
Fine Native American Arizona Tohono O\'Odham coiled lidded cylindrical storage basket. Original close fitting lid. Decorated in geometric \"storm cloud\" motif in devil\'s claw (martynia). Coiled material appears to be yucca or bear grass.The storm-cloud design is particularly characteristic of the visual vocabulary associated with Tohono O\'odham basketry.
CONDITION
Overall very good. Structurally sturdy and sound. No defects noted. No broken or missing strands. Rich, honey-colored age patina (all visible in the images).
