Antique Tiffin Franciscan "Athenia Gold" Candy Dish Pedestal Compote Bowl c.1917 For Sale

For your consideration is an antique EAPG double handled pedestal compote or candy dish by Tiffin-Franciscan in the “Athenia Gold” pattern. This circa 1917 pattern is an elegant design with gilded accents on encircling geometric shapes and daisies. The lip is scalloped to frame the daisy flower petals. A hexagonal pedestal base has a starburst motif which refracts light beautifully. Standing approximately 4.5” in height, the bowl measures 5.25” wide from handle to handle and weighs 1.5 lbs. Light to moderate age related gilt rubbing and losses are seen, otherwise it’s in good antique condition with no chips, cracks, prior repairs, or other compromising imperfections found. Wear is commensurate to age and history of use so please regard the photos as they form a descriptive part of the listing.
