Offered here is an authentic Southeast Asian Buddhist votive stele, carved in stone and dating to the 18th–19th century, from the Thai–Khmer cultural sphere.
The stele features a seated central Buddha in meditation (dhyanasana), flanked by attendant figures, with an upper triad beneath an arched aureole and a lower register of multiple seated Buddhas—a classic merit-making “Buddha field” composition associated with monastery and pilgrimage devotion.
The surface shows honest age wear, soft erosion, and natural patina consistent with long-term devotional use. The carving style and iconography align with provincial Thai and Khmer Buddhist traditions, rather than later decorative or tourist production.
Mounted in a simple wood display stand (later addition, 20th century), allowing for upright presentation.
