This is an antique cast iron patriotic clock case front body dating to the early 1900s during the Edwardian era, produced by Warner to commemorate the Spanish American War. The intricate, high-relief figural design features an American Eagle with spread wings at the top flanked by crossed American flags, a military sailor standing on the left side, and an army soldier holding a rifle on the right side. The reverse side reveals the cast iron construction and is stamped with the pattern number 01512.The front finish is in excellent condition when compared to similar clocks on the market, maintaining a bright gold appearance with only minor surface age lines. The original clock movement, face, glass, and rear retaining tabs are missing.
