Antique Sèvres Porcelain Navy Blue Gold Monogram Bowl France 1920/1924 9"
This elegant approximately 9" bowl features a deep navy blue border decorated with finely applied gold ivy leaves, scrolling vines and floral motifs surrounding a white porcelain center. The border bears an ornate M monogram, giving the piece a particularly distinguished appearance.
The underside bears multiple period Sèvres factory markings, including the green Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres S.1920 DA manufacturing mark and the red Doré à Sèvres 1924 mark, indicating manufacture circa 1920 with gilding completed at Sèvres in 1924. Similar dated Sèvres pieces are documented with separate manufacture and decoration/gilding marks.
Marked MADE IN FRANCE.
Measures approximately 9" diameter.
There is a couplesmall chips on the outer rim, clearly photographed. Some light age-related wear and minor loss to the gilding may also be present, consistent with a piece approximately 100 years old.
