This cast iron (black japanned) trivet features a spade-shaped body with an ornate open fretwork design reading: \"RUB WHILE THE IRON. The fretwork prominently displays a laundry stove (or iron boiler) surrounded by various styles of antique irons. It sits on three decorative, elevated feet. The reverse side is clearly stamped with Greenlees of Glasgow, Scotland, with the British Registered Design Number Rd No 35659. This number indicates that this is from 1885.
