An early twentieth-century real photo postcard (RPPC) showing a huge, full-crowned shade tree towering over a quiet country dirt road. A horse-drawn buggy passes along the road beneath the tree, with an open meadow in the foreground and more trees lining the roadside beyond. The image is printed in portrait (vertical) orientation and has the soft, sun-washed sepia tones of a true silver-gelatin photographic print.
The divided back reads \"POST CARD\" with \"CORRESPONDENCE\" and \"ADDRESS ONLY\" on either side of the dividing line. There is no stamp box and no photographer or publisher imprint, consistent with real photo postcard stock of roughly the 1907–1920s era. The card is unposted and unwritten, and the location is unidentified.
This is a lovely piece of rural Americana for collectors of horse and buggy transportation, early country road views, trees and landscapes, and unidentified \"mystery\" RPPCs. It would also frame nicely for farmhouse or cottage décor.
Measures approximately 5 1/2\" x 3 1/2\", standard postcard size.
Condition:Good vintage condition. Unused, with a blank back and no writing, postmarks, or stamp. Edges and corners appear sharp with no creases or tears observed. The image is high-contrast with light, faded highlights typical of its age. A few small dark specks appear in the sky area of the image, and there are scattered light specks and mild toning on the back. Light shelf wear, grime, or discoloration may be present consistent with age. Please review the detailed photos carefully for item condition.
