Gorgeous, rare antique Gibson’s Whiskey barback decanter, authentic late-1800s to early-1900s Pre-Prohibition whiskey decanter featuring stunning acid-etched gold gilt lettering reading “Gibson’s Whiskey”. These were originally used as saloon back-bar advertising bottles. Before Prohibition, distilleries and distributors provided these beautifully etched, gold-gilt bottles to saloons so bartenders could display their premium spirits elegantly behind the bar.Condition: Excellent vintage condition. No visible chips or cracks. The glass is clear, and the gold lettering is in excellent vintage condition with minimal wear. Details: Features an etched number "29" on the bottom base. Includes a beautiful geometric glass stopper that fits well, though it is a historical replacement (not the original numbered stopper), and this is priced accordingly.
