Up for sale is an antique patchwork quilt. 1880’s era. The pattern is log cabin. Hand quilted.
The fabrics are early calico prints, solids, checks, stripes, florals, etc.
The back is a wonderful early calico print, brown, mustard and red. Just a great back.
Slightly thick thickness. The logs measure 1 1/8” wide. The center of each log is a red and white stripe. The border is the same as the back, machine sewn.
Hand quilted.
Thee is some damage, some wear to certain of the brown fabrics. Some slight fading. Some wear to the back in a few spots. No holes. Some age spots. Some water spots.
Great early quilt. I have not washed. Very slight storage smell. Some soiling.
Measures 72” by 86”.
