Where do I start?

There\'s so much detail here. First of all, this antique rosary was extremely important to someone, perhaps a habit or a priest. You can tell by how worn down each wooden bead is, same with the Saints, and most of all how rubbed down and flat Jesus is. The fact that this rosary has repairs on it -and medals that were added over the lifetime indicates that the owner traveled. It has been used in sickness and in health, and has been to shrines and on pilgrimages.

Longer Rosaries: Some rosaries—often worn by habits around the neck, by religious orders, or used as devotional pieces—measure 30\" or more. (This one is 40\" plus 9 for the drop)

Repairs:

One olive wood bead has been replaced by a seed!

The corpus came unattached at one wrist due to age and use of the rosary, and both arms were wired back on! Imagine.

Wear & Condition:

Three Saint medals are discolored by age. One is quite worn out on the back where it has the illegible name of the Chapel it came from.
