Antique Northwood Twigs Vaseline Opalescent Uranium Glass Vase – circa 1898
Beautiful antique Northwood art glass vase in the Twigs pattern, also known as Beauty, Tiny Twigs, and Twigs (Paneled).
The Early American Pattern Glass Society documents the Twigs pattern as having been introduced by Northwood in 1898. The design features distinctive raised twig/root supports surrounding the body and pedestal base.
This example is a beautiful translucent canary-yellow/vaseline glass with a creamy white opalescent ruffled rim. Under UV/black light it fluoresces a brilliant neon green, as shown in the photographs.
