Antique hand-painted Nippon porcelain lidded sugar bowl featuring a scenic landscape with windmill, trees, and soft sunset tones. Marked “Hand Painted Nippon” with rising sun on the base, dating this piece to circa 1891–1921.
The decoration is fully hand painted, not transferware, with a softly airbrushed background and detailed foreground elements. Original matching lid included. This is a classic example of early Japanese Nippon scenic porcelain, produced for the export market.

Approximately 4.25 inches tall with lid (see photo with tape measure).
Condition:
Very good antique condition for its age. The gold trim shows visible wear on the handle and lid finial, consistent with age and normal use and some little spots wear on the scene. Please review all photos carefully, as they are part of the description.
