Up for sale is a gorgeous antique Arts & Crafts period bronze equestrian inkwell. This piece was produced circa 1910–1915 by the renowned Marshall Field & Co. Craft Shop in Chicago. Part of their sought-after "Viking" pattern series, it features a heavy, beautifully cast bronze body with a rich aged patina.
Design Features:
- Lid: Features an embossed relief of two riders on horseback (equestrian/mythological motif).
- Body: Detailed all-over fishscale patterned housing.
- Borders: Accentuated with geometric Greek key / meander bands around the neck and base.
Condition Notes:
- Solid structural condition with a beautiful natural vintage patina.
- The hinge opens and closes securely.
- Please note that the internal glass ink reservoir insert is not included.
