Antique important Lerosey Paris Porcelain Dinner Service – Lavender & Gold Monogram
A stunning antique Lerosey Paris porcelain dinner service in an exceptionally beautiful lavender ground with ivory centers, rich gilding, scalloped borders, and elegant gilt monograms.
The color is extraordinary, and the matching covered serving pieces give the set tremendous presence.
The service includes:
* 12 dinner plates – 9.5”
* 12 dinner / soup bowls – 9.5”
* 1 large covered tureen with underplate – underplate 12 1/4” x 10”; approx. 9 3/4” high to lid; lid approx. 12.5”
* 2 matching covered tureens – 10 1/2” wide x 5 1/2” high
* 1 lidded gravy boat affixed to its matching undertray
The large tureens are especially impressive, with sculptural handles, elegant finials, and lavish gilt decoration. Displayed together, the lavender, ivory, and gold create an exceptionally refined and luxurious effect.
Condition
The service presents beautifully overall. One dinner bowl and the gravy boat each have hairline and small flea bite. A few dinner plates show wear to the inner gilt rim and minor age-related wear. These condition issues do not detract from the overall beauty or impact of the service.
