For sale is rare antique large Lourdes Mary and Bernadette Popes 50th yearLourdes anniversary medal.The front of this medal shows Mary and Bernadette in the grotto at Lourdesand 3 popes and 3 religious men which include: Pope Pius IX, Pope Leo XIII,PopePius X, Monsignor Laurence (bishop of Tarbes- who recognized one ofthe first miracles in Lourdes), Cardinal Langenieux (he presided as Papal legateover the Eucharistic Congress at Lourdes), and Monsignor Shoepfer (hebuilt a replica of the Grotto at Lourdes in the Vatican Gardens.)The back of this medal has \"N.D. DE L\" for Notre Dame de Lourdes- \"OurLady of Lourdes.\"This pendant measures a little over 1\" wide x 1 1/2\" high and is a large medal.This item is antique and has a lot ofage and wear including discolorationand loss of silvertone coating.Please see photos for details.
