Antique Karen Hill Tribe Wood, Horn and Silver Pipe For Sale

This is a handsome antique pipe from the Karen hill tribe people. It consists of a buffalo horn mouthpiece, a pure silver stem and a wooden bowl braced by pure silver rings. It is masterly crafted and in excellent condition. It weighs 2 oz and is 5 inches long. Stand included. OFFERS CONSIDERED.
The Karen are mostly found in Burma and Thailand. They are known to seek harmony within their society, and avoid conflict by trusting in the counsel of their elders. Both men and women could be seen smoking this style of pipe in the past. Today these pipes are rarely seen.
