Presented is a beautiful Japanese full oban-size woodblock print/book spread by the renowned Meiji-period artist Kitao Masayoshi (1764 - 1824).
The print depicts various occupations during the Edo period, specifically at the end of the 18th and the beginning of the 19th century. The illustrations serve as a visual encyclopedia of daily labor and craftsmanship during that time. Some of the activities visible include:
