Antique Japanese Koshida Satsuma Miniature Bud Vase - Signed 4\" - Chipped Rim For Sale

For your consideration is a stunning, authentic miniature Satsuma earthenware bud vase from the renowned Koshida workshop (越田), dating to the late Meiji or Taisho era (circa 1900–1925).
The central body features an incredibly detailed, hand-painted polychrome enamel landscape with a traditional pavilion sheltered under dense bamboo and golden foliage. The flared neck and pedestal base are finished in a glossy cobalt-black glaze accented with delicate geometric gold gilt bands and cherry blossoms. The base features the hand-painted gold Koshida signature seal inside a dark red frame.
The vase displays the classic, tight glaze crazing expected of period Satsuma pottery. Please note: There is a slight physical chip located along the upper gold rim (see photos for close-up detail). Aside from this rim wear, the body glaze, enamel painting, and lower base remain in beautiful vintage condition
