Antique JA Eilitz Eskilstuna Sweden 1880s Corkscrew Folding Bar Pocket Knife For Sale

Up for sale is an exceptionally scarce, museum-grade piece of 19th-century European cutlery history: an original antique J.A. Eilitz multi-blade folding bar pocket knife with an integrated center corkscrew, custom crafted in Eskilstuna, Sweden between 1873 and 1895. The master blade tang features a phenomenally deep, fully legible block strike of the legendary J.A. Eilitz factory stamp. This spectacular Scandinavian estate find is being offered in an open sale format as an honest, complete collector's piece.

The knife is built on a 3-1/2 inch curved teardrop handle frame wrapped in stunning, original embossed metal scales decorated with highly intricate Victorian-era Nordic scrollwork, an eagle motif, and a deep relief banner reading Eskilstuna across the presentation field. The toolkit carries its original carbon steel master pen blade, a secondary writing/scraper utility blade, and a heavy-duty hand-forged helical corkscrew folding smoothly out of the center spine. This is a premier opportunity for advanced European tool historians and slipjoint enthusiasts to acquire a highly coveted, verified piece of pre-1900 Swedish steel craftsmanship.

The backsprings function manually with age-appropriate operational tension. The decorative metal handle scales are structurally complete and tight to the frame, displaying beautiful legible text with typical pocket smoothing, superficial storage scratches, and edge carbon stains as clearly shown.
