DESCRIPTION
Wonderful Native American Iroquois / Mohawk /Haudenosauneebeaded pin cushion, ca. 1890. Great Lakes / Niagara origin. USA or Canada. Intricately beaded shoe or boot form in raise three-dimensional style. Blue, amber, coral, gray and green beads and sequins on a blue cloth background. It was in the 1890s that the beaded boot form became very popular in Victorian styling.
CONDITION
Overall very good antique condition. Some missing beads and sequins and some worn spots on the fabric backing (all visible in the images). A FINE LATE 19TH CENTURY NATIVE AMERICAN BEADWORK POCKET / CUSHION.
