This historic piece dates to the late 19th or early 20th century (circa 1898–1917), making it a remarkable survivor of pre-Revolutionary Russian history.
Maker’s Marks & Historical Authenticity
The lid features a crisp, deeply stamped Cyrillic factory inscription indicating it was produced by the most prestigious name in samovar manufacturing:
The Manufacturer: «ТОВАРИЩЕСТВО ПАРОВОЙ САМОВАРНОЙ ФАБРИКИ НАСЛѢДНИКОВЪ ВАСИЛІЯ СТЕПАНОВИЧА БАТАШЕВА ВЪ ТУЛѢ» (Partnership of the Steam Samovar Factory of the Heirs of Vasily Stepanovich Batashev in Tula).
