This is a rare, original early 19th-century American pewter teapot crafted by renowned pewter smith Hiram Yale. Yale operated his highly regarded workshop in Wallingford, Connecticut from 1824 until his passing in 1831. The teapot features a beautifully weighted, inverted-mold globular body resting on a flared pedestal base. It features an elegant, sweeping gooseneck pouring spout counterbalanced by a distinctively styled angular handle.
