Antique Gilted French Bronze Box w/ Landscape Painting on Top For Sale

This interesting French round box is made of rather heavy bronze base with a bronz lid that houses a round small landscape painting behind glass. The painting looks to be done on paper and depicts a river that goes towards a horizon with trees on the banks. The box is lined with older red velvet that is clearly original and slightly faded. Condition is good for its age, there is some wear to the lining, consistent with age, no other defects.Measurements are: diameter 3 3/4 \" and 1 1/2\" tall. Perfect for earrings, rings, or possibly patches.
