For sale is a gorgeous antique French Faience (tin-glazed earthenware) plate featuring a beautifully detailed, hand-painted provincial scene. The center of the plate depicts a traveler resting with a horse near an ancient stone archway and tower ruin. The scalloped rim is elegantly decorated with vibrant blue sponge-brushed accents and delicate pink and blue floral clusters.This is a classic piece of French country/brocante pottery, perfect for display on a wall, easel, or within a hutch.
This antique piece is in overall very good condition for its age.
Glaze & Color: The hand-painted colors remain bright and clear. The glaze has a beautiful, authentic aged shine.
Wear Notes: There are no major chips, cracks, or repairs.
