Antique Framed Sampler Dated 1911 For Sale

This antique needlework sampler is 115 years old. The base fabric appears to be an open weave linen with dyed cotton or wool thread. It has been stitched with a traditional cross-stitch to make decorative motifs. The stitching consists of the alphabet, numbers, flowers, birds and a house, along with decorative borders. Sara Frances Robinson age 12 was the young girl that stitched this sampler. It has two stitched sayings which are \"Love one and that is you\" and \"Jesus smiles and loves me to.\" It is in very good condition with no staining or rips or tears, but has been tacked or nailed at some point. It is framed in a nice appropriate frame which appears to be pine. It measures 19 1/4 inches wide and 20 1/2 inches tall.
