This antique late 19th century (circa 1880–1900) wooden cigar box was constructed from rich, tropical hardwood Spanish Cedar also known as Mahogany. It has no damage of any sort and is showing a deep, naturally darkened patina and prominent grain patterns. The interior lid features a crisp, stamped branding for \"Fine Corona\". This primitive box utilizes early construction elements, including an antique double-eyelet wire loop latching mechanism designed for a pin/cotter closure, along with back butt hinges fastened with hammered metal brads. The corners are hand-softened and rounded. Measure approximately 6\" inches wide & long and 2\" inches tall or deep. A beautifully preserved primitive piece perfect for collectors or rustic decor.
