Antique Filipino Moro Gunong Dagger Coin Silver Mounts Knife W/ Scabbard 8.25” For Sale

This is an authentic vintage Filipino Moro Gunong dagger, measuring approximately 9.5 inches in overall length. Hailing from the southern Philippines, this traditional weapon features a classic double-edged steel blade with a distinct central ridge, a coin silver guard, and a beautifully curved hilt accented by engraved coin silver mountings. The dagger is accompanied by its original matching wooden scabbard, which features beautifully chased and decorated coin silver throat and tip fittings. Please look closely at all provided photos to evaluate the exact condition, cultural details, and dimensions of this piece. Note that there is a visible age crack running along the curved portion of the handle, and the coin silver guard and trim bands have loosened slightly over time, leaving about 1/16 of an inch of play. However, the core handle structure itself remains completely solid and tight to the tang. This historic ethnographic collectible is sold entirely as-is.
