This piece is a magnificent example of high-end European miniature craftsmanship. LID DETAILS:
The top features an incredibly pristine, deep cobalt blue translucent glass/enamel dome. Beneath the glass is a detailed, hand-painted floral bouquet showcasing a central rose, blue daisies, and a white tulip. The paint exhibits beautiful, tactile raised texture under the lens. The enamel is entirely free of hairline cracks, chips, or clouding.CASE & METALWORK:
The outer silver-toned casing features an intricate, crisply stamped repeating floral scroll design. The rim of the bottom base features an official rectangular factory punch hallmark reading "DÉPOSÉ" (indicating a legally registered European pattern design). The internal chamber retains its original, warm antique gold-washed (vermeil) finish, designed historically to protect contents from silver tarnish. CONDITION REPORT:
Excellent, collectible antique condition. The hinge is completely tight, and the lid snaps firmly and securely shut. The underside of the lid features two tiny, clean factory-tool crimp indentations from its original hand-assembly used to secure the top glass dome bezel.
