Beautiful Elgin National Watch Works factory lithograph sign in an engraved dark oak frame that reads “Elgin National Watch Works.” Sign is Made of heavy cardboard and done by Rogers & Company, Chicago and New York, engravers. Circa 1900.
I was told they made a colorized version a decade or two later. This one is an early example.
The sign shows heavy staining and the frame has moderate wear from being displayed in a factory.
Overall it’s in good condition and ready to hang. It’s a standout piece with great size and presence.
I’ve added a few Fletcher framer points on the back for a little extra support.
Measures 40.25 inches long by 22.25 inches tall.
