The bottle features a graceful Art Nouveau design with pinched sides, flared lobed corners, and the original embossed "Dorothy Vernon" script across the front. The hand-tooled finish indicates early manufacture, dating approximately from 1900 to 1915.
Extensive research identifies Dorothy Vernon as a perfume and toilet preparation line produced by the Jennings Manufacturing (Jennings Perfumery) Company of Grand Rapids, Michigan. While the brand is well documented in period advertisements and trade publications, this ornate bottle form appears to be quite scarce, as no exact matching examples were located during our research.
