Antique Dazey Churn No. 80 — 8 Quart Glass Butter Churn, Patented Feb. 14, 1922
Up for sale is a genuine antique Dazey Butter Churn, Model No. 80, made by the Dazey Churn & Manufacturing Co. of St. Louis, Missouri. This is the larger 8-quart size square glass jar churn with the classic cast iron gear-crank mechanism on top.
Markings (embossed in glass, clearly legible):

Details:
• Square glass jar, approx. 16" tall including crank mechanism
• Original cast iron gear mechanism with wood crank handle
• Wood paddle/dasher included
• Mechanism turns and spins freely — fully functional
• Metal lid threads on securely to jar
Condition:
No cracks or chips in the glass. Metal lid shows expected surface rust and age wear consistent with a century-old piece. Some grime/patina on the iron gear mechanism from age and storage — displays beautifully as-is, or clean up further to taste. Wood paddle is solid with no damage. A wonderful farmhouse, primitive, or country kitchen display piece, and still fully operational if you want to actually churn butter with it.
Why buy Dazey: Nathan Dazey's company made these glass churns for home use starting in the early 1900s, and the No. 80 was one of their most popular larger sizes. Great for collectors, kitchen decor, or as a working piece of Americana.
