Antique DRESDEN PORCELAIN LACE COURTING COUPLE Waltz Figurine VOLKSTEDT GERMANY For Sale

This exquisite figurine depicts a courting couple engaged in a delightful dance. Made of fine porcelain with a glazed finish, this hand-painted piece is a beautiful representation of early 20th century art and style. The figurine stands at 6 1/2 inches tall by 6 inches long and measures 4 1/2 inches in width, making it a perfect addition to any room or collection. In excellent condition with all fingers on both man and woman. However, the woman does have a small area where the lace to her dress is missing. Please see pictures for details. The woman also has some sticker or glue residue underneath her dress, that can be seen in the picture above as well. I didn’t want to try and remove it as I didn’t want to harm anymore of the delicate lace of her dress.

Crafted by Müller & Co. in Volkstedt Germany, this piece has the blue MV in a diamond with a crown above it mark on the bottom. It also has hand written in black: Dresden Dec. Germany 16. on the bottom as well, showing this piece was made in December of 1916. This original Dresden piece features intricate lace patterns and vibrant multicolor accents.
