Beautiful vintage Coty L’Origan face powder compact featuring an ornate gold-tone round case with a decorative cream, gold and warm orange enamel-style design. Circa 1925
The reverse is marked with the Coty signature and “PARIS NEW YORK.” Inside, the compact retains its mirror and original fabric powder puff bearing the Coty signature. Also included is the original Coty L’Origan presentation box, with French text on the reverse referencing Coty’s perfume works in Suresnes near Paris, France and Coty Inc. in the United States.
A wonderful collectible piece of early Coty cosmetic and perfume history, with a lovely Art Deco-era appearance.
Condition: Vintage/pre-owned condition with age-related wear. The compact shows surface scratching, patina and wear consistent with age. Interior mirror and powder puff are present. Original box shows discoloration, edge/corner wear and age-related deterioration.
