Bedell was one of the most prominent agricultural leaders in Mahoning County, Ohio, building a highly successful crop and livestock operation through hard work, business acumen, and annual trips to Chicago to purchase cattle.
Over his lifetime, Bedell expanded his farm to approximately 1,700 acres, becoming the largest landowner in Mahoning County. His operation included large numbers of sheep, cattle, hogs, horses, and poultry, earning him recognition as one of the region\'s leading farmers and livestock producers
