Very nice condition on this Antique Victorian Cabinet Card. Photographed by Olsen (Johann Olsen) who owned a studio at 447 1/2 - 451 Main St., Hartford, Connecticut. Circa 1885 - 1895.

Authentic, original late 19th-century cabinet card portrait featuring a sharp image of a gentleman identified as a military Field Grade Officer (Major, Lieutenant Colonel, or Colonel). He is pictured in a regulation double-breasted dress frock coat featuring a 14-button front alignment with decorative contrast piping along the collar and lapel edge. This style is highly characteristic of post-Civil War State Militia / Connecticut National Guard officer dress attire from the 1880s to the 1890s.The photo was taken at the historic Olsen photography studio on Main Street in Hartford, Connecticut. The portrait retains excellent clarity, showing crisp details of the uniform\'s button styling, shoulder epaulet loops, and the subject\'s distinct late-Victorian mustache. Heavy card stock with gilt on the edge. Great condition.
