Antique Burgess Burslem Tea Leaf Ironstone Tureen Copper Lustre Farmhouse For Sale

A late-19th-century English ironstone soup tureen in the copper lustre Tea Leaf pattern, made by Henry Burgess of Burslem, Staffordshire (circa 1870s–1880s). White ironstone with the classic coppery-brown tea leaf sprigs, brown banding on the lid and foot, and molded handles with a lid finial — the kind of piece that anchors a farmhouse or cottagecore shelf. Stamped \"H. Burgess, Burslem / Ironstone China\" with the royal crest on the underside. Measures about 13\" long handle to handle, 5-1/2\" wide, and 7-1/2\" tall with the lid. Condition is honest Victorian antique: three chips on the base rim (shown in photos), some interior staining, no cracks and no crazing. The copper lustre is still bright. Best as a display piece for a farmhouse kitchen or for a Tea Leaf collector filling a hard-to-find form. Sold as-is.
