This listing consists of four antique branding irons. These are from Arizona and are from a working ranch. Please remember that the brands are always created in reverse so they are correctly readable after use. They are raw iron and have rust.
#1 - Bar E Brand. This iron is 33\" long and hand forged. The brand consists of a bar under an E. The forged element has been attached to a piece of rebar and curled into a loop at the end for easy hanging in the barn. It weighs around 5 lbs.
#2 - Walking man Brand. It took me a while of staring at this brand before I realized it is a walking man. The iron is hand forged from end to end including a loop at the end for hanging. It is 30\" long and has been well used. The shaft is not perfectly straight but has a small bump in the middle. It weighs 3 lbs.
#3 - 5 Brand. This is the lightest iron we found. It is a simple \"5\" at the end of an iron shaft with a bolt at the end. It is 30\" long and weighs about 2 lbs. It appears to be fully hand forged.
#4 - Mystery Brand. I have cleared my mind, turned off all noise, and even then I cannot figure out what this brand represents. It looks like a scoop with a really high thumb brace but really, I cannot say what it is. It is also hand forged and attached to the 33\" long shaft with both plain iron and pieces of rebar. It has an attached loop for hanging and weighs 3 lbs.
