Striking antique Aleppo Shriners hatpin featuring the traditional crescent-and-star Shrine emblem.The ornate dimensional top has an elaborate pierced and scrollwork design with a white enamel crescent, raised five-pointed star, and banner reading ALEPPO in blue enamel lettering.Aleppo Shrine was established in Boston, Massachusetts, making this an interesting piece of early Shriners fraternal memorabilia as well as an unusual collectible antique hatpin.The exceptionally long pin measures approximately 8 7/8” overall, with the decorative top measuring approximately 3/4” across.The metal has a gold-tone finish. It has been professionally tested and is not solid gold. No precious-metal hallmark has been found.Condition: Pre-owned antique condition with age-appropriate surface wear, discoloration and patina. The white enamel shows some minor surface marks/soiling consistent with age. Please examine the photographs closely for condition and detail.
