Super nice salt glaze 2 gallon stoneware jug. It has a beautiful Cobalt Blue Bird on the side. I’m no expert on where these were made but asked a friend of mine and he said it looked like possibly a New York Design. It’s 14” tall x 8 1/2” across bottom. It has a stamped 2 incised on shoulder for it’s size of liquid it holds . It’s to big for QT’s so must be 2 gallons. It has a chip on top at back side of spout close to handle. Other than that most what looks like heat lines of firing a long time. Jug is very solid and looks good displayed . It will be very well packed and boxed with insurance. Selling it for less than I originally paid as I’m making room for another collection I am starting !!
