Antique 1Ltr. early 1800\'s German pottery pewter lidded beer stein mug tankard For Sale

Up for sale is a high quality antique lidded German pottery beerstein madein the first quarter of the 19th century.It\'ssculptedout of thick pottery walls and has a glazedgrayfinish.The stein has a nice applied handle which is mounted with a hinged pewter lid.The hinge has a stunning lion shaped thumb-piece which holds a heraldic shield in his paws. The lid is made of pewter and has a hand painted porcelain medallion done with a realistic approach. It is also hand engraved on the rim of the lid.It has acquired a nicepatinafrom ageand measures 9 1/2 inches tall by inches long by 4 inches wide.There is a couple edge dings and a crack to the porcelain medallion as shown in last photo.Thank you for visiting \"Dusty Treasures \" and please feel free to browse through
