1922”A very unusual piece of early Detroit and bowling history, dating to more than 100 years ago. The sculptural bowling ball and pin design gives it excellent display appeal and makes it much more distinctive than a standard trophy cup.The trophy shows considerable age-related patina, tarnishing, finish/plating loss, scratches, discoloration, and surface wear throughout. These signs of age are clearly visible in the photos and add to its original antique appearance.Metal composition is unknown. It appears to be a silver-tone or silver-plated metal, but it is not being represented as sterling silver unless a corresponding hallmark is discovered.A great piece for a collector of antique bowling memorabilia, Detroit history, vintage sporting trophies, or early 20th-century advertising and business memorabilia.Date: 1922
