Here’s an antique Decorative Arts League “Aurora” lamp. It stands 12 inches tall at the socket’s top and has a 5 1/4-inch circular foot. I believe it’s cast in a mix of metals, with the standard being brass, and spelter used for other parts. It features a painted finish that gives it a faux bronze appearance. The Bryant socket shell is original, but it has a similar vintage H&H interior mechanism. It works well and comes with a newer cord and plug. The lamp appears to be in good condition, with only minor finish loss. However, the presentation is still very good.
I’ve seen this base with two different shade configurations: a metal clip-on and a fabric clip-on shade. I’ve included a copy of an antique advertisement for reference. Additionally, I’m including the clip-on adapter pictured to offer a wider range of shade options.
The clip-on shade shown is 6 inches tall by 8 inches in diameter. It’s included for scale purposes and is not part of this sale. The light bulb is also not included.
