Antique 1920s Splash Me Carnival Chalkware Flapper Bathing Beauty Doll
Measures 11” tall
An exceptional piece of 1920s folk art and carnival history. She features a hand-painted yellow bathing suit with glitter, original dark brown mohair wig and iconic "bee-stung" red lips with heavy cheek rouge.
There are hand-incised historical inscriptions on the base that read “Erma E. Ingman 1923 Black Feet Idaho”, as well as a back script under the hairline “1926 Oct 28", which is likely marking a family birthday or milestone.
Remains in beautiful physical condition and is absent of any chips, cracks or repairs. There is just some minor paint rubbing in places. The original mohair wig is fully intact and unaltered.
