Antique 1920s Gold Medal Flour Home Service Recipes Wooden Recipe Box featuring the scarce original “Eventually Kitchen-Tested!” Betty Crocker advertising label inside the lid.

A wonderful piece of early American kitchen advertising from Gold Medal Flour / Washburn-Crosby Co. The front is clearly marked “Gold Medal Flour Home Service Recipes.”

What makes this example especially appealing is the original interior advertising label, featuring:

• “Eventually Kitchen-Tested!” slogan

• Washburn-Crosby Gold Medal Flour sack graphic

• Betty Crocker signature

• “Why Not Now?” advertising slogan

• Original printed No. 350 marking

This is an authentic vintage Gold Medal Flour advertising recipe box, dating to the 1920s, approximately c. 1925–1928. It was originally designed to store Gold Medal Home Service recipe cards.

The solid wood box has beautiful natural grain, a warm aged finish, curved side profiles, and unusual metal lid-support hinges that hold the lid open for easy access to recipes.

Condition:

Very good antique condition for its age with normal surface wear, small scratches, marks, finish variation and natural aging consistent with a nearly 100-year-old wooden advertising piece. The original interior Betty Crocker / Gold Medal “Kitchen-Tested” label remains exceptionally clear and attractive. Metal hardware shows expected age-related patina. A small area of surface wear/loss is visible near one upper corner. Please examine all photos closely for condition.
