Celebrate early 20th-century American advertising and folk craft with this incredible, authentic antique 1912 Rellim Hosiery pyrography wood box. Manufactured by the S.S. Miller Hosiery Company of Reading, Pennsylvania, this beautifully preserved hosiery box serves as both a historical advertising piece and a gorgeous decorative storage accent.
The lid features a detailed wood-burned (pyrography) oval medallion depicting a well-dressed Edwardian gentleman inspecting his socks amidst his travel trunks, one of which reads "Rellim Made" (the name Miller spelled backward!). This central scene is flanked by beautiful clusters of deeply embossed, hand-tinted red roses with soft olive-green foliage. The lower edge proudly displays the charming period marketing slogan: "My Wife Knows! She's solved my troubles for heels and toes." The perimeter walls are completely wrapped in geometric, wood-burned chevron and herringbone borders. When flipped open, the inner lid features an unpainted, crisp duplicate print of the entire intricate design. Measuring over 14 inches long, this box is a phenomenal conversation piece for collectors of country store advertising, vintage style boxes, or antique American folk art.

### Antique Condition Note
This over 110-year-old box is in wonderful, stable antique condition. The wood-burned details and text on both the exterior and interior of the lid remain extraordinarily crisp and legible. The original red and green pigments on the outer roses are beautifully preserved and vibrant. The wood structure is completely solid, the corners are tight, and the lid opens and closes flush. There is honest, light cosmetic age-wear, including light surface scuffs, minor historic pencil/ink markings on the unpainted interior floor and base from natural use over the past century, and a lovely golden patina to the pine wood grains as shown in the photographs.
