Antique 1907 Sweeper-Vac Pneuvac Early Wooden Mechanical Vacuum For Sale

Early vacuum cleaner companies in the United States manufactured manual suction sweepers to clean domestic carpets before electric power became widely available in homes. These devices were typically produced during the first two decades of the twentieth century as an innovative alternative to traditional broom sweeping and mechanical rotary brush sweepers. Workers built them using bent wood veneers for the curved housing, fitted with internal bellows or suction chambers operated by the forward and backward motion of pushing the unit across the floor.
