One decorative foot is detached but included. Case has substantial age-related wear including finish/Adamantine loss, scratches, chips, surface wear and damage/opening to the bottom panel. Authentic 1901 Seth Thomas No. 102 Adamantine mantel clock, manufactured by the Seth Thomas Clock Co. of Thomaston, Connecticut.
This is an ornate mechanical 8-day time-and-strike mantel clock featuring a black Adamantine case with faux-marble accents, four decorative columns, lion-head ornaments, gilt decorative feet and an elaborate Seth Thomas dial.
The original Seth Thomas No. 102 paper label remains on the back, and the clock is stamped 1901.
PLEASE NOTE CONDITION:
Clock does not run and is being sold as-is for restoration, repair or parts. One foot has broken/detached from the case but the original foot is included. The wooden bottom panel has damage/opening, and the case has extensive age-related wear including scratches, chips, finish loss and deterioration of the Adamantine decoration. Rear factory label has significant age deterioration.
Mechanical movement, coiled gong and other components shown in the photographs are present. No guarantee is made regarding the condition or completeness of the internal mechanism.
A genuine 125-year-old Seth Thomas clock that could make an interesting restoration project or source of original period parts.
